This is a great camp or pit bike! Also, it makes for a great beginner rider bike.


Most of Osaka's 200cc engines are based on the 5 speed XL125/200cc Honda design so most Honda parts fit.


Over 20 million of these XL/CG/CB engines have been produced making it the most used bike engine in the
world; a real workhorse with proven reliability over the past 40 years. After market parts are readily available for it
from Wiseco, www.megacycle.com etc.


Below is a list of some of the upgrades this engine has:


Bigger 32mm Pumper carb vs 26 for Honda

Longer 63 stroke x 63 bore = 196cc, 15mm piston pin so Honda piston fits

225cc possible with Wiseco 67mm piston

Ignition pick up on flywheel and not on head, more accurate timing

Beefed up primary gear

Bearing on camshaft solve head wear problem

31.5 /27 mm valves

5 speed wide ratio transmission, drop from 1st to top gear is 3.68

Seat height is 30” (seat can be cut down 2-3”)


Osaka estimates performance at about 19hp for stock bike, and 25Hp for fully modified one.
